Movies with Surprise Endings. Let's look at three. In The Usual Suspects we learn that the entire movie has been a story spun by a masterful storyteller. Like the cops who figure it out in the end, we marvel at the process of creation. In The Sixth Sense, we smile at the fact that the protagonist is not who he appears to be although all the clues are left out in the open for us to see. And in Limbo by John Sayles, we have maybe the most frustrating ending (or non-ending) ever made. Hence the title.
I'd like to say that I was surprised and delighted at the ending of Limbo.. but that'd be lying. Instead, I sat there in numb shocked silence as the screen went black and the credits rolled.
Now that I think about it a couple of days later... that was a pretty good movie. ;)

Now the ending to Blair Witch Project.
That REALLY sucked.
